Confidential support for life's challenges
Professional, confidential counselling and psychotherapy in Dublin 12 and online for adults across Ireland.
About me
My name is Niamh McGarry. I live and work in Dublin and I am a qualified psychotherapist with clinical training and
experience in integrative and pluralistic psychotherapy. I hold an MSc in
Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy and have worked with adults in both
in-person psychotherapy in Dublin and online therapy settings.
I offer a supportive space to explore difficulties, build understanding and work towards meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
My Approach
As an integrative psychotherapist, I do not use a one-size-fits-all model. I work from a pluralistic counselling approach, meaning therapy is shaped around your goals, preferences, and what you find most helpful.
Whether you are seeking counselling in Dublin 12 or online psychotherapy, I place strong emphasis on collaboration, emotional safety, and respectful, non-judgemental exploration.
Online and In-Person sessions
I aim to provide affordable therapy, with a sliding scale offered to support accessibility where possible. Sessions are collaborative, confidential, and tailored to your individual needs.
I warmly welcome enquiries about in-person counselling or online therapy. If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you or have questions about affordability or online sessions, you're very welcome to get in touch to discuss your needs.

Gealach is the Irish word for moon. The moon is often associated with cycles, reflection and gentle light in darker moments. In psychotherapy, this reflects the process of slowing down, becoming more aware and bringing understanding to experiences that may feel unclear or overwhelming. Just as the moon moves through phases, therapy recognises that change happens gradually, at a pace that feels right for each person.
Who I Work With
I work with adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling to cope with life's challenges. People often come to therapy for support with anxiety, stress, burnout, low mood, relationship difficulties, grief or experiences of trauma. Some clients arrive with a clear sense of what they want to work on, while others simply know that something doesn't feel right. All are welcome.
What To Expect
Starting therapy can feel uncertain, especially if it is your first time. Sessions offer a confidential, supportive space where you can speak openly and be met with care and respect. Therapy moves at a pace that feels right for you, and there is no pressure to share more than you are ready for. Together, we will explore what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process.
